Daily GeoBlend #190
Saturday, July 18
Guess the country from its blended flag colour. Warmer/colder tells you if your colour is closer — plus a rough geographic distance to the target.
Ready to blend?
One country. One blended flag colour. Once you begin, the target reveals and the timer starts.
- Warmer/colder tells you if your guess's flag colour is closer to the target than your last guess.
- Each guess also shows an approximate distance from that country to the target.
- Wrong guesses trigger a 5-second thinking pause. 5 guesses total.
Fair play: the timer keeps running if you leave — no pausing.
What is GeoBlend?
GeoBlend is a daily geography puzzle from GeoPie. Instead of showing a flag or its individual colour pie, GeoBlend shows a single blended average colour — the pixel-average of an entire national flag — and asks you to name the country. There are no shapes, no symbols, no letters, no continent clues. Just one colour.
It is designed to be significantly harder than GeoPie Classic. Colour reasoning (which flags are mostly red vs mostly green vs mostly white) is genuinely tricky once you strip everything else away, which is exactly why GeoBlend is labelled Very Hard and currently in Beta.
Colour deduction
Guess the country from a single blended flag colour.
Warmer / colder feedback
Each guess tells you if you got closer or further from the target.
Fair play timer
A 5-second cooldown after each wrong guess. No pause. No skipping.
How to play GeoBlend
- 1. Press Begin puzzle. The blended target colour is revealed and the timer starts.
- 2. Type a country. You have 5 guesses.
- 3. After each wrong guess you get back: its own average colour swatch, whether you are warmer or colder than your previous guess, and a colour direction hint (e.g. "target has less blue").
- 4. Solve it in as few guesses and as little time as possible — the fastest solves rank on the GeoBlend leaderboard.
GeoBlend strategy tips
- Reds and greens dominate — most national flags contain one or both. If the target is a desaturated brown or grey, the flag likely mixes several strong colours (think tricolours with a big emblem).
- White dilutes everything. Very light targets often mean flags dominated by white with a small accent (Japan, Cyprus, Finland).
- Use the warmer/colder feedback as a compass — if your green guess was colder than your yellow guess, the target is closer to yellow than green.
Ranking and leaderboards
GeoBlend has its own daily leaderboard alongside GeoPie Classic. Rankings favour fewest guesses first, then fastest solve time. Because GeoBlend is Very Hard, solving in 2–3 guesses is already excellent. Sign in to save your streak, cross-device stats and appear on the global leaderboard.
Frequently asked questions
What is GeoBlend?
GeoBlend is a daily geography game where you guess the country from a single blended average colour of its national flag. Every wrong guess reveals a colour swatch, warmer/colder feedback, and a colour direction hint (e.g. 'target has more red').
How is GeoBlend different from GeoPie Classic?
GeoPie Classic shows a pie chart of a flag's individual colours. GeoBlend removes that structure entirely — you only see the mathematical average of all pixels in the flag. It is a much harder colour deduction puzzle.
How does the warmer / colder feedback work?
After your second guess, we compare each new guess's colour distance to the target with your previous guess. If you are closer than before, we call that 'warmer'; further away is 'colder'.
Are there geography hints?
Yes — after each guess we show an approximate distance (in km) from that country to the target. Warmer/colder is separate and only refers to colour proximity.
How often does GeoBlend update?
One new GeoBlend puzzle drops every day at midnight local time, using our curated pool of well-known national flags.
Why is GeoBlend in Beta?
GeoBlend launched as GeoPie's second live game and is still being tuned — difficulty, feedback wording, hint balance, and leaderboard ranking rules are all being iterated on based on player results.
Does GeoBlend count toward my GeoPie stats?
Yes. Your Profile and Stats pages break down GeoPie Classic and GeoBlend separately, and also show combined totals across every game.
